5 Easy Ways to Make Your Home Smell Welcoming!

Pia Johal November 23, 2021

The smell is a huge part of forming the first impression about a property. As soon as a visitor steps through the door, their olfactory senses subconsciously form an opinion about whether they will like or not like what they see.

Besides making a pleasant impression on visitors, it also makes a home more enjoyable for those currently living in it.

  • Baked Cookies - Bake something delicious. The smell of fresh-baked bread or cookies will conquer any bad smells in your home. This is the most popular way to make your home smell nice.
  • Scented Candles - Whether they are lit or not, the right candles will give off a soft fragrance that lasts. Make sure the scents are not too strong.
  • Essential Oil Diffusers - These are fantastic for low maintenance and long-lasting fragrance in a room and small areas. Again, make sure the scent is not too overpowering as some visitors may be sensitive to it.
  • Lemon and Orange slices - Cleaning products with a citrus smell appear to have a universal appeal.
  • Fresh Flowers - Cut flowers can be expensive but if you love flowers, then go for flowering plants as they last longer. They also clean the air for you!
